Kumvwa Advisory, Young Women in Action Sign Strategic Partnership to Empower Youth

Lusaka, Zambia — Kumvwa Advisory has officially entered into a strategic partnership with Young Women in Action (YWA), marking a significant step toward advancing youth empowerment and gender equality initiatives across Zambia.

The agreement, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed on February 27, 2026, sets the stage for collaboration in resource mobilization, programme development, and institutional strengthening. The partnership brings together Kumvwa Advisory’s technical expertise in project development and advisory services with YWA’s grassroots experience in promoting the rights, leadership, and socio-economic wellbeing of young women and girls.

Under the MoU, Kumvwa Advisory will support YWA in identifying funding opportunities, developing proposals, and strengthening internal systems such as monitoring, evaluation, and governance frameworks. In turn, YWA will work closely with Kumvwa as a strategic partner in designing and implementing programmes aimed at driving impact at community level.

Key focus areas for joint initiatives include young women’s leadership, gender equality, sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), and youth economic empowerment. Importantly, the agreement emphasizes flexibility and independence. It is a non-binding framework that does not impose automatic financial obligations on either party, with specific projects and payments to be determined through separate agreements as needed. Set to run for an initial three-year period, the partnership reflects a growing recognition of the importance of strategic alliances in tackling complex development challenges.

With this collaboration, both Kumvwa Advisory and Young Women in Action are positioning themselves to deliver more impactful, scalable, and sustainable programmes that empower young women and strengthen communities across Zambia.
