Sinazongwe, Zambia — A recent capacity-building workshop delivered by Kumvwa Advisory has equipped staff from the Green Living Movement (GLM) with critical skills to improve project monitoring, accountability, and learning systems.
Held at GLM’s Sinazongwe District office, the training focused on the practical application of Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) frameworks—tools widely regarded as essential for driving evidence-based decision-making in development work.
The workshop brought together eight (8) staff members from across GLM’s departments, combining hands-on exercises, group discussions, and real-world case studies to deepen understanding and encourage collaboration. Participants learned how to design indicators, develop log frames, and integrate MEAL into project planning and reporting.
One of the standout aspects of the training was its emphasis on ethical data collection and the use of data for adaptive learning. Facilitators highlighted how strong data systems can enhance transparency while improving project outcomes.
Feedback from participants painted a positive picture. The facilitator received high ratings for expertise, engagement, and communication, with many attendees recommending the training for future sessions.
Overall, the workshop marks a significant step forward for GLM as it works to strengthen accountability, improve program quality, and maximize its impact in community development initiatives.
